THE 2007-2008 HEALTHCARE DELIVERY AND MANAGEMENT CASE COMPETITION

Greetings, everyone,

Our first Case Challenge comprised of six teams with all three Alliance schools represented (Physicians and Surgeons, Public Health, and Business).

Our panel of judges--from the Mailman School, Business School, the Hay Group, and CIGNA--were unanimous in their praise for all competing teams. Although only half of the teams moved onto the final round, all provided top-notch analyses and professional presentations.

The results of our Case Challenge team competition are as follows:

FIRST PLACE TEAM ($100 gift check for each team member):
Alexander Bock (Mailman and SIPA) and Jennifer Hajj (Mailman)

SECOND PLACE TEAM ($50 gift check for each team member):
Jeremy Lai, Lisa Aceto, and Diana Cheng (all from Business)

THIRD PLACE TEAM ($25 gift check for each team member):
Jaqui Kanuk, Don Schiermer, and Anette Wu (all from Mailman Exec. MPH)

MOST INNOVATIVE SOLUTION/TEAM ($50 gift card for each team member):
Alexander Bock (Mailman and SIPA) and Jennifer Hajj (Mailman)

Two individual awards were also given:

BEST INDIVIDUAL PRESENTER ($100 gift card):
Jaqui Kanuk (Mailman Executive MPH Program)

BEST INDIVIDUAL QUESTION-AND-ANSWER ($100 gift card):
Alexander Bock (Mailman and SIPA)

We congratulate all the winners from this year's competition, and we hope to see more of you next year!

Many thanks to our wonderful judges and sponsors (CIGNA and The Hay Group), and we look forward to seeing you in next year's competition!
